The answers for this questions seem to be a big task to put into practice, but do not be scared. You can educate yourself on what you´re eating, and choosing foods that won´t raise your blood sugar level. When they first sprang out at their time, drugs were the marvelous choice for diabetes treatment. Many diabetics have used them, and they could lower their blood sugar levels.

But, there were seen some severe side effects of all these diabetes drugs, from hypoglycemia (the most common side effect) to irreversible liver damages.

The great machinery of pharmaceuticals has done its best to come up with new diabetes medications as a choice for the old drugs side effects. When you have diabetes it does not mean that you have to eat bland food for the rest of your life.  You do although need to learn what is going to be good for you and what is bad for your body.  You need to create a healthy diet that will keep your life healthy and give you the nutrients that your body needs to keep heart disease away.

What is really bad for the diabetic to eat?  This is what would be a bad diet for everyone else.  The answer is a diet that is high in fat, salt, sugar and the over processed foods that you can find.  This sort of foods is often filled with poly saturated fats or trans fat, which cannot be burned off through exercise.  They are going to stay in the body and clog up the arteries. If you have diabetes it can be the worst thing for your diet and this will increase your chances of getting heart disease, stroke, and other heart problems that can lead to complications. The major source of distress for most diabetics is reducing or giving up their much loved eating habits and favourite foods.  Not only is it a struggle to squash any life long habit but when everyone else is happily eating whatever they want, it is depressing to say the least.  Even the phrase ‘diet for diabetics’ suggests that you are somehow different and removed from the rest of society.  However, it may help to replace the word ‘diabetic’ with ‘health’ if we are to change our attitude.  After all, we all want to look and feel better right?  And what if a ‘diet for health’ also meant that we got to eat great tasty food whilst still enjoying a sumptuous desert?  Maybe eating a diet for diabetics would start to inspire us, rather than seem like a chore.
